By accessing or using Placed ("the Service"), available at placeds.in, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including visitors, registered users, and any other persons who access or use the Service.

Placed is an AI-powered career coaching platform that helps users in India's job market by providing:

• Skill gap analysis against target job roles
• AI-generated personalised career roadmaps (3, 6, and 12-month plans)
• AI career coach chat for advice on interviews, negotiations, and career growth
• Resume analysis and cover letter generation
• Job application tracking
• Career journaling and reflection tools
• Interview preparation assistance

AI-generated content is provided for informational and guidance purposes only and does not constitute professional career or legal advice.

To access most features of Placed, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your password
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service in an automated manner
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the Service in any manner that could disable, overburden, or impair it
• Use AI-generated content to deceive or defraud employers or others

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these provisions.

Placed uses AI models (including Llama 3.3 via Groq) to generate career advice, roadmaps, and other content. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may not always be accurate, complete, or up-to-date
• Career advice provided by the AI is not a substitute for professional career counselling, mentorship, or legal advice
• You should independently verify any advice before acting on it, especially for significant career decisions
• Placed is not liable for any outcomes resulting from reliance on AI-generated content

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Placed currently offers a free tier. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we will notify you and update these Terms accordingly. Pricing, refund policies, and billing terms will be clearly communicated before any charges are applied.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@placeds.in.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Placed shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months prior to the claim, or INR 1,000, whichever is greater.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

We encourage you to contact us first at support@placeds.in to resolve any disputes informally before pursuing formal legal action.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
